For those arriving prior to the festivities, we will be hosting a welcome dinner at the Mazaj restaurant, within the Fairmont Hotel.
Cuisine: Lebanese/Middle Eastern
Restaurant dress code: Smart Casual (think elevated resort wear - no shorts, t-shirts, or sandals)
This will be a casual, seated dinner event. The dinner is optional, should you wish to join. If not for food, stop by, grab a drink and say hi! Let us know if you think you’ll be attending!
The Haldi ceremony is a fun-filled tradition where loved ones smear the bride and groom with a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, and love (okay, mostly turmeric). It’s believed to bring good luck, ward off bad vibes, and give the couple that radiant “just got married” glow.
Ishq Sufi-yana
Get ready for an unforgettable night where cultures collide and the dance floor comes alive! We’re blending the vibrant energy of Gujarati Garba, the booming beats of the Punjabi Dhol, and the glam of a Sufi Band and Bollywood Hits.
Throw on your dancing shoes (or go barefoot—no judgment here!), bring your best moves and dance like no one’s watching (but trust us, everyone will be watching
Baraat
Imagine a wedding entrance so extra, it needs its own parade. That’s the baraat— a high-energy celebration where Sumeet doesn’t just show up to his wedding... he arrives.
Sumeet will make his grand entrance surrounded by friends and family dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
Drums (like the dhol) pound out infectious beats, a mobile DJ booth might roll along, and uncles who haven’t danced since the '90s suddenly bust out moves that defy physics.
Think of it as the ultimate pre-wedding rave where the groom is the star—but let’s be honest, it’s everyone’s time to shine (and sweat). By the time the baraat reaches the venue, it's not just an entrance—it’s a statement.
Wedding Ceremony
A Hindu wedding is not just the coming together of two individuals—it is the sacred joining of two souls, two families, and two destinies. Rooted in centuries of tradition, the ceremony is a tapestry of rituals, symbolism, and blessings, woven with love and devotion.
At the heart of the ceremony is the mandap, a beautifully adorned canopy that serves as a sacred space where the couple is joined in the presence of family, friends, and the divine. Surrounded by fire, flowers, and the sound of ancient mantras, the couple embarks on their sacred 7 vows
**The wedding ceremony will be followed by a full dinner*
Settle in for a night filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and plenty more dancing (because why stop now?). Dress to impress and bring your best sparkle—it’s the grand finale of our wedding weekend, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you one last time before the curtain closes.
Let’s end this unforgettable journey on a high note—together.
